Author Michael Furlonger of ChristianWritersBookstore (https://christianwritersbookstore.com/michael-furlonger/) shares on the Revive Us Again series’ sub-series The Spirit Of The Prophets and The Prophets’ Purpose.
Michael warns on false prophets and focuses this video on the purpose of the prophets. Reading 1 Corinthians 14:24-25,
But if an unbeliever or an inquirer comes in while everyone is prophesying, they are convicted of sin and are brought under judgment by all, as the secrets of their hearts are laid bare. So they will fall down and worship God, exclaiming, “God is really among you!”
While a prophetic gifting may allow for many wonders, the last video, discussed a slave girl who had the “gift” of future telling, but she wasn’t a prophet. In the above text, Apostle Paul, while discussing orderly worship, says an unbeliever will be “convicted of sin” and “brought under judgment”.
This series alone should be well considered. Whether in a personal time of reflection and devotion, or used to reach others with the hope we have in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
