To The Sojourners by Robert M. Hinnen

What of the humble traveler who comes to us from afar
Seeking God’s will like the wisemen following the star
Bringing their unique gifts of the spirit with us to share
So many the stories of God’s grace and answered prayer

We all are in search of something to fill the void in our heart
Doomed to be sinners and seekers from the curse’s very start
See now the Christ who came to suffer and die for you and me
Such mercy and love like none other displayed on Cavalry’s tree

For awhile we are privileged to worship Him together as family
Brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus awaiting that better destiny
We are all sojourners for a short time on this earth by God’s grace
‘Til we meet again in heaven one glorious day exalting Him face to face!

“”Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear to my cry; hold not your peace at my tears! For I am a sojourner with you, a guest, like all my fathers.” Psalm 39:12 ESV
