Dear God,
I look ever to You
In hopeful prayer
To discern what is true
Make my heart aware
That I may always know
Love’s ultimate offering
Joy that overflows
The peace You bring
Your grace and mercy
Your only Son
Who rescued me
From sin’s dark prison
Chained to evil’s lies
I wandered in ignorance
Til You opened my eyes
By Your righteousness
Forever I am changed
Forgiveness ever my plea
To the praise of my Savior’s name
Christ Jesus, who saved even me!
