I am a sinner natural-born
Once lost and forlorn
Jesus loves me still
Given to wander aimlessly
My tongue speaks carelessly
Jesus loves me still
Words can be hateful and so cruel
My selfishness and pride are wont to rule
Jesus loves me still
My sins nailed Him to the Cross
His death was the terrible cost
Yet Jesus loves me still
I cannot ignore Whom God sent
Again and again I must repent
Jesus loves me still
I am unworthy without virtue
But His grace proves my value
Jesus loves me still
This my hope and my prayer
The Good News I must share
For Jesus loves me still!
“In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”
1 John 4:10 ESV
