Dear God, Rock of my salvation,
Deliver me…
out of my many afflictions
from ruthless hands
from violent men
from the furnace fire
from the deep mire
from the present evil age
by Your sufficient grace
from the many deep waters
from the snare of the fowler
in Your righteousness
by Your great faithfulness
from deadly peril
from all evil
from a deceitful tongue and lying lips
by Your sacrifice for my sins
according to Your Word
from the enemy’s sword
until my last breath
from this body of death
from the adversary
by Your abundant mercy
my life
by Your steadfast love and light
until I finish the race!
all for the glory of Your name!
