The Following Blog Describes How To Add Your Book To ChristianWritersBookstore’s. Once A Book Is Up, We Can Discuss Paid Advertisement. This Is Part Of The CWBS Crash Course Newsletter
Most of the active members on ChristianWritersBookstore.com are authors with books on Amazon. Most authors are in North America, while some are in Europe, Africa, Australia, and the Middle East.
We share this to let you know that these steps are necessary for your book to reach a larger audience.
Go to ChristianWritersBookstore.com- My Dashboard- My Products.
My Products will take you to the backend editor. This will be easier on a computer, but you can still set up your book(s) if you only have access through your phone.
Once you are in the My Products backend, there will be several boxes that you don’t need to worry about. Only be concerned with the following:
- Product Name: Simply enough, add your first book’s name. If it is part of a series, put the series name first, followed by “Book #), followed by a colon (:) and the book title. This will keep your books in order.
- Product Image: This is where you will want to put an image of your book. Remember to title the image name with your book if you need to get the image for a future blog post.
- Product Description: This area is for a longer description of your book. You can use this area to offer Free Previews of your books. If you wish to know how, please follow along:
- Kindle Only: If your book is available on Kindle, I would recommend going to the Amazon.com (you may need to specify Amazon.com as your computer will likely send you to the Amazon of your country: .ca, .co.uk, etc). Don’t worry, if a person clicks on the link to purchase, it will connect them with the product from their local Amazon.
- Visual Vs. Text: The Product Description box has two options: visual and Text. Select the Text box.
- Kindle URL: Go to the page with the Amazon.com version of your book, copy the URL and paste it into the Product Description. At the end of the URL, you will need to manually add /feed/. Make sure that it is not a //feed/.
- Product Short Description: In this section, you will want to share your book. It’s easy enough: put in the book title and description—most have been copying the descriptions available on Amazon.com—and you’re done.
- Product Data: The next box is called Product Data. While we are currently discussing Amazon books, the step is quite simple.
- Click on the drop down menu next to Product Data and go to External/ Affiliate Product.
- Next to Product URL, paste the same Amazon.com URL used in Product Description.
- Next to Regular Price, put in the price of the product.
- Product Categories: While your book is ready for purchase, it’s important to make it easy to find. So you will want to go to Product Categories and select Books, and then select the subcategories in which your book is available: Apple AudioBooks, AudioBooks, Downloadable E-Books, Hardcover, iBooks (iTunes), Kindle, Large Print, and Paperback.
- Product Tags: This differs from the Product Categories, You can personally write in tags and separate them with a comma. Recommended tags: Author’s Name, Book Series, Genre, Age Range For Audience (Toddler, Teen, Adult, etc)
- Yoast SEO: This is where you can make your book more visible on search engines. Meta Description is where you can share a short description of the book. Don’t waste time repeating your tags.
- Preview: Once you have completed the steps listed above, be sure to Preview the page to ensure it meets your expectations. If you are unsatisfied or need additional help, save the Draft and reply to this email, and we will reach out.
We know that this is a complicated process. But once your book is up, it is available for a larger audience. Furthermore, once it’s up, we can discuss things such as advertising on social platforms like Facebook and Instagram.
